Biography
As the Director of Export Control, Rose Ndegwa responsibilities include development, implementation, and maintenance of the Export Control program at Emory.
Ms. Ndegwa has over ten years of experience working in Higher Ed research compliance and administration. Prior to coming to Emory, Ms. Ndegwa worked at the Kansas State University to establish the export control compliance program, and at Texas A&M University where she was responsible for coordinating the export control program, enterprise risk management program, as well as supporting the IP Constituent Committee. Before her career in Higher Ed, Ms. Ndegwa spent over 15 years in intellectual property administration and management. She was instrumental in establishing an IP Management program for the International Livestock Research Institute, ILRI, an institute of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, CGIAR. She started her career as a Patent Examiner with the Kenya Industrial Property Institute.
Ms. Ndegwa has a Master's degree in Intellectual Property, from the, University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce Law Center, and M.A. in Leadership Studies, from International Leadership University.
