Creating an Environment of Courtesy and Respect (CECR)

(1.5 hours)

  • Designed to prevent harassment and discrimination, teaching skills that foster professionalism and diversity
  • During the program, participants are challenged to analyze a realistic business scenario and suggest ways that managers/employees can create a productive work environment and make fair business decisions

Implicit Bias

(1 hour)

  • The course explains the concept of unconscious bias and helps learners recognize and prevent implicit bias in the workplace.

Note:

After meeting the new employee CECR/IB requirement, employees can meet the yearly requirement of one (1) contact hour in DEI through participation in DEI activities within or outside of Emory University.
